Tennessee will look to bounce back from a road loss to Alabama on Saturday with another road contest this weekend against SEC East foe Kentucky.

The Vols are back in Knoxville and have looked over the tape from Saturday’s road loss and the team shifts gears to the upcoming game in Lexington.

Kentucky enters the contest with a 5-2 record overall with losses to Georgia and Missouri and wins against Florida and Vanderbilt. The Wildcats, though, are coming off of an open date as the Vols rebound from Alabama.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel began the week with a press conference in Knoxville on Monday afternoon. Heupel closed the book on the Alabama game with some final thoughts on some of the plays including the 4th down calls and the odd fair catch penalty. Heupel also touched on some of the challenges that Kentucky presents including a strong running game from senior Ray Davis.

“Well you gotta stop them early at the line of scrimmage,” Heupel said about Kentucky. “But their offensive line, their tight ends, they’re extremely physical. They do a really good job getting a hat on a hat. We gotta be violent, we gotta be disruptive. You gotta have gap integrity between all their different personnel groupings, their shifts, their emotions.”

Kentucky will host No. 21 Tennessee this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. ET in Lexington.
