Tennessee receiver Bru McCoy was one of the stars of the Vols’ 52-49 losing streak ending victory over Alabama last season at Neyland Stadium. McCoy caught just two passes but his 27-yard reception set up Chase McGrath’s 40-yard field goal to win.

McCoy won’t be suited up for Tennessee as the Vols go for their second straight win over Alabama on Saturday afternoon after suffering a fractured-dislocation of his ankle in Tennessee’s win over South Carolina. But McCoy got in on some of the game week fun by narrating Tennessee’s hype video for the rivalry game.

With highlights from the 2023 season, McCoy asks “why not?” for Tennessee players to do a number of things effort and intensity wise in Saturday’s rivalry game. The senior receiver talks about the legacy Tennessee players can leave by defeating Alabama once again and the importance of the rivalry to Vols’ players and fans.

The Vols are currently 9.5-point underdogs against Alabama according to Caesars Sportsbook. The over/under is currently set at 47.5.

Tennessee is looking for its fourth straight win after falling at Florida in mid-September. Alabama is looking for its sixth straight SEC victory following its week two loss against Texas. Both teams need a win to preserve its SEC Championship hopes.

Kickoff between Tennessee and Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium is at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon. Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jenny Dell are on the call for CBS.
