Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and two assistant coaches met with the media in Knoxville this week to discuss the upcoming challenge with Alabama.
Heupel met with the media on Monday and gave his final thoughts on the Texas A&M game before moving on to the Alabama matchup. The third-year Tennessee coach spoke about the status of some of Tennessee’s banged-up players, his thoughts on Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, and playing on the road this Saturday.
“End of the day, we have to do a great job of communicating,” Heupel said on Monday. “You have to focus on your job and be dialed into that. It’s 11-on-11 when you’re inside the lines. We’ve continued to work that and believe we’ll be ready for it when we hit gameday.”
Tennessee running back’s coach Jerry Mack and defensive back’s coach Willie Martinez met with the media on Tuesday and spoke about their respective position groups in relation to the rivalry game this Saturday. Mack spoke about what has gone into Jaylen Wright’s big year while Martinez spoke about the work ethic and results from Kamal Hadden.
