Tennessee football stayed unbeaten at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon, knocking off Texas A&M 20-13 in a defensive struggle. The Vols ran for 232 yards against the SEC’s best rushing attack but struggled to score as Joe Milton and the passing offense faltered.
But where Tennessee’s offense struggled, its defense picked them up. The Vols’ pass rush dominated Texas A&M’s offensive front as James Pearce Jr. and Tyler Baron continued fantastic seasons. But Dee Williams made the play of the day on special teams, giving Tennessee a second half lead with a 39-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Rocky Top Insider’s Jackson McCarter spent the afternoon on the Shields-Watkins Field sidelines photographing the matchup. Here’s a photo gallery of McCarter’s favorite photos as Tennessee wore its classic home uniforms on a sunny afternoon at Neyland Stadium.
