Titans vs. Bengals Player Props
The Titans are still nursing their wounds from Sunday’s 27-3 loss against the Cleveland Browns. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the Titans’ offense took a beating at the hands of the Myles Garrett-led Browns defense.
The bad news for Tennessee is that the Bengals also have a defense that showed out in Week 3 with six sacks and two interceptions. But the good news is that the Bengals’ defense isn’t close to being as efficient as Cleveland’s and isn’t even ranked as high as the Titans, who have allowed an average of 344.7 yards per game vs. the Bengals’ 352.3 yards per game.
The big question, of course, is whether Bengals QB Joe Burrow (calf) will be back to full strength. Oddsmakers seem to think not, with a close 2.5-point spread favoring the Bengals over the Titans. Even though Cincy is on the road, we agree they’re likely to take the win this week.
But let’s look beyond the moneyline, point spread, and total. Here are some of the best player props for the Titans vs. Bengals on Sunday.
Derrick Henry to Rush Under 69.5 Yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
King Henry struggled last week against the Browns’ formidable defense. He only got 20 rushing yards on 11 carries. Prior to that, he had 63 and 80 yards in weeks 1 and 2, respectively.
But what we’re keeping an eye on is the toe injury Henry sustained in Week 2 against the Rams. Could that be slowing him down? He hasn’t looked quite like himself lately. We hope he’s back in form on Sunday, but we’re betting the Under on this one for another week.
Ryan Tannehill to Pass Over 202.5 yards (-115 on BetMGM Sportsbook)
Okay, hear us out. Tannehill has been lukewarm at best so far this season and has thrown over 200 yards in just one of the Titans’ three games. In Week 1 against the Saints, he threw for 198 (so close!); in Week 2 against the Chargers, he threw 246; and in Week 3 against the Browns, he threw for a measly 104.
The Bengals have allowed a net passing yards per game of 200.7. If Tannehill’s O-line can show up this game, maybe he can have a better showing than his tough looks in Week 1 and 3?
Joe Mixon to get Over 53.5 Rushing Yards (+118 on Caesars Sportsbook)
We know it’s weird to bet the Under on Henry and the over on Mixon. And Mixon hasn’t been all that impressive yet this year. But he is averaging 60 yards per game. It’s not great, but it is higher than 53.5.
