Tennessee football is hosting two of its highest rated commits in the 2024 recruiting class on visits this weekend for its matchup against South Carolina. Four-star athlete Boo Carter and four-star receiver Braylon Staley each announced that they’re returning to Knoxville on Thursday.
Getting Carter on campus is a big win for Tennessee. The Chattanooga native is one of the most highly touted commits in the Vols’ 2024 recruiting class and the two-way star unofficially visited Colorado two weeks ago. The Buffs were one of Carter’s original finalists and have used their early season success to try to get Carter back on campus.
A Bradley Central standout, Carter and the Bears travel to Knoxville Friday night to face Farragut creating an convenient opportunity for him to return to Tennessee.

Carter ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 220 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Chattanooga native also ranks as the third best player in the state of Tennessee.

Staley is visiting Tennessee for the first time since committing to Heupel and his staff on the final day of June. Unlike Carter, the blue-chip receiver hasn’t visited any other schools this fall either.

Staley ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 152 player and No. 23 receiver in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Johnston native also ranks as the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina.
Kickoff between South Carolina and Tennessee is at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday night. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic are on the call for the SEC Network.
