Tennessee conducted its first Spanish-language audio broadcast on Saturday afternoon during the Vols’ game against UT-San Antonio to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
VFL Fuad Reveiz and viral sensation Carlos Lopez electrified the listening audience throughout the game with their passion and excitement calling the Vols’ 45-14 win over the Roadrunners in Neyland Stadium.
Reveiz, a legendary kicker in Tennessee’s program history, is an experienced NFL Spanish-language broadcaster while Lopez provided his signature calls and catchphrases that have captivated audiences online throughout the year.
The broadcasting duo were so energetic and passionate during the calls that the sound could even be heard throughout the press box as their voices burst through the walls that separated the broadcasters from the media. Calls of “Dale Seis! Dale Seis! Dale Seis!” were sure to give fans a pleasant twist on John Ward’s famous “Give Him Six!” call.
