No. 23 Tennessee defeated UTSA by a score of 45-14 on Saturday evening in Neyland Stadium. The Vols quickly shook off last week’s loss to Florida by jumping out to a 31-0 lead over the Roadrunners at halftime and then finding a way to control the victory from there.
Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton threw for more than 200 yards while racking up three touchdowns on the day in total while UTSA swapped quarterbacks at halftime and found more success with Owen McCown behind center.
After the conclusion of the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media as he broke down his thoughts on the contest. Heupel talked about Tennessee’s two halves of play, the performances by Milton and RB Dylan Sampson, the Vols’ defense, special teams unit, and much more.
After Heupel’s press conference, Tennessee had a rotation of players speak to the media. First up was the duo of Joe Milton and Omari Thomas followed by the trio of Kaleb Webb, Elijah Herring, and Dylan Sampson.
- Joe Milton III: 18-of-31, 209 yards, 2 TDs, 89 rush yards, 1 rush TD
