Tennessee played poorly in their 29-16 loss to Florida in Gainesville on Saturday night, but the officiating did them no favors.
There were a couple of questionable calls that went against Tennessee throughout the game, but more importantly, there were many missed calls that would’ve gone against Florida.
The officiating left many miffed, resulting in several people expressing their frustrations and confusion on X.

Tennessee has been screwed over by the officials on back to back offensive drives now. First an official kicks the ball then allows UF to substitute then an phantom blindside block call. Smh

Yo @SEC, I want you to look into these referee’s officiating the Tennessee/Florida game. There have been so many missed calls especially on the Vols side of the ball. Clearly they are turning a blind eye to these obvious infractions.

Sec refs were obviously greatly biased. Sad to be so obvious, they should lose their jobs and be investigated!
I watched the game. One or more of the referees missed so many calls against tennessee Did they purposely ignore calls and make calls that were wrong. TENNESSEE SHOULD NOT DROP IN THE POLLS AND FLORIDA SHOULD STAY WHERE THEY WERE. THE OFFICIALS THAT CALLED THE UT VS FLORIDA SHOULD NEVER OFFICIATE ANOTHER TENNESSEE. WHOEVERS FAULT IT WAS TO APROVE SOME OF THE REFEREES SHOULD BE FIRED. IF FLORIDA HAD WON THE GAME FAIR AND SQUARE I WOULD GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR BEING THE BETTER TEAM. BUT WITH THE OFFICIATING I CAN’T GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR BEING THE BETTER TEAM. IF THE COMMISIONER IS NOT WILLING TO ADDRESS WHAT HAPPENED RATHER THAN RELEASE A GENERAL STATEMENT IS A COP OUT. WHAT THE OFFICIALS DID WAS PUBLIC. HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.
I don’t ever remember an official kicking the ball off the line of scrimmage that allows a team to make substitutions. In a game where any slight move before the snap can be a penalty, the officials need to be able to correct their mistakes. The play was stopped, all they had to do was not allow the substitution.
Once again, the NCAA needs to investigate these officiating crews.
They seem very biased against Tennessee both in the Austin Peay game and now Florida.
Stop crying and blaming the officials . Florida ran all over you and your offense was terrible. Milton is not the man to lead this tea., just horrible. Go Gators!
The official Kicking the ball then allowing a reset while Florida subs in 2 fresh players = ridiculous.
Well, played game Florida, you dominated. Not sure who reviews the officiating, but that needs to happen. There’s a significant loss of credibility after watching that game.
UGA took action. Flat out refused to ever play in Gainesville ever again. See it happening?
I understand that florida has requested the same officiating crew for all their games. That way, they might get a bowl game.
