The Florida Gators (2-1) handed No. 11 Tennessee (2-1) their first loss of the season on Saturday night in The Swamp with a 29-16 victory.
Tennessee’s entire team struggled on Saturday night as the offense never got in rhythm and the defense fell behind in the first half. The first 30 minutes, really, spelled trouble for Tennessee. The Vols took the 7-0 lead off the bat but watched as Florida put up 26 unanswered to end the first half of play.
The Gators played with and kept their lead throughout the entire second half despite Tennessee outscoring Florida 9-3 in that span.
After the game, three Tennessee players met with the media to discuss their thoughts on the game. Tennessee’s players for the media included quarterback Joe Milton III, linebacker Aaron Beasley, and wide receiver Bru McCoy.
