No. 11 Tennessee was defeated by Florida 29-16 on Saturday night in The Swamp to extend the Gators’ home winning streak over the Vols to 10 games.

Tennessee struggled in all phases of the game as Florida used the energy of the home crowd to propel a much more complete effort on the field.

Head coach Josh Heupel met with the media in Gainesville following the game and spoke about the Vols’ offensive troubles, the flow of the game, quarterback Joe Milton III, getting back on track, and much more.

“Extremely disappointing start to a football game in the first half, not very good in any sort of way,” Heupel said to open his press conference. “Offense had the one drive, and defense got the one stop. Other than that, not the way you want to start. I do appreciate the competitiveness of the guys coming out, competing and playing in the second half. Still didn’t play as clean as we need to, as well as we need to in some ways, but they did fight. We got to get a lot better. Hats off, give credit to Florida. They did a good job. But we have to get a lot better.”
