Titans vs. Chargers Player Props
There were quite a few close games across the Sunday slate in Week 1 and the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans were involved in two of them. The Chargers look good on offense with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, but head coach Brandon Staley needs to figure out his defense in LA or his seat is going to start getting hotter and hotter. The Titans have the defense but were plagued by QB Ryan Tannehill turnovers.

In week 1, RB Kelley had 91 rushing yards and one touchdown on 16 attempts. With the potential absence of RB Austin Ekeler in week 2, look to Kelley to get those touches. Even with Ekeler playing week 1, Kelley got about half of the red-zone work, so if the Chargers continue to put up big offensive numbers, Kelley will certainly be a factor in that.
Justin Herbert OVER 278.5 Passing Yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
QB Herbert threw for 278.8 yards per game last year — 0.3 more than Sunday’s passing yards prop total. The Titans allowed 274.8 passing yards per game last year, with the NFL’s worst pass defense, and that hasn’t changed much in 2023, with Saints QB Derek Carr throwing for 305 yards on Tennessee in week 1. Going over this total should be a cakewalk for Herbert.
Derrick Henry OVER 85.5 Rushing Yards (-119 at Caesars Sportsbook)
In 2022-23, Henry averaged 96.1 rushing yards per game. Last year when these two teams met Henry carried the ball 21 times for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Titans did lose that game 17-14, but by far their best success came from giving the ball to Henry. Establishing the ground game would also help a defense that could be missing two starters in the secondary — Amani Hooker (concussion) and Kristian Fulton (hamstring). While the defense did a lot of good things last week, it struggled with giving up big plays. Herbert has plenty of big play potential at his disposal with WR Mike Williams and rookie WR Quentin Johnson. Part of the Titans’ defensive game plan this week should be to keep the Chargers offense on the sideline, expect them to run the ball and take their time with offensive drives.
