Five-star class of 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis released his top 10 colleges including Tennessee football Monday afternoon.

The Vols joined Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas in Curtis’ top group.

While Curtis is just a sophomore in high school and the 2026 recruiting rankings are still brief, he ranks as one of the top players in his class. The Nashville, Tennessee native ranks as the No. 10 player and No. 2 quarterback in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings.

247sports personal rankings pegs Curtis as the No. 2 player in the country coming in behind only Southern Cal quarterback commit Julian Lewis.

The Nashville Christian Academy standout is still very early in the recruiting process but has taken a number of unofficial visits already. Curtis has visited Alabama four times, both Tennessee and Georgia twice and a number of schools once including Texas A&M, Florida State, LSU, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Clemson.

Curtis is the third blue-chip quarterback recruit in the state of Tennessee in the 2025 and 26 recruiting cycle. Brentwood Academy standout George MacIntyre is the No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle and Lipscomb Academy standout Deuce Knight is the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

  1. I have noticed that Coach Heupel is getting a little bit too comfortable just like Butch Jones did. I think we are seeing the first signs that he may not be the guy! His offense does not have the glamour and speed like last year. I notice this when we sit on leads and don’t have the killer instinct to finish the game with command. The play calling is ok but not exciting. There is no comfort when Milton has the ball. Milton seems scared to get hit. He has no play action and just stands there in a funk ALL THE TIME! Milton is not a playmaker like Hooker or Dobbs ..who would put the team on their back in crucial situations. Right now Milton is too soft and seems very immature. I do not see Joe leading the team down the field with 1:15 to go in the 4th and win the game. I am not sur Joe has the football IQ to be a star in the SEC or Big 10. he has already had too many red zone sputters and he just can’t get the job done. I really like him and at the County fair he would be impressive running one of the novelty booths showing off his arm, but chalk this year up as a good try but we are just moving down the totem pole every week even when we win. If we win 8 games the pressure on Heupel will start and the Recruits will begin to move to the big winning programs Bama, Georgia, Michigan & Ohio State. It all breaks my heart!
