Tennesee head coach Josh Heupel and two Volunteer defensive players met with the media on Monday afternoon to open up the first week of the Vols’ 2023 regular season.
The off-season is now in the rearview mirror and the season is here. Heupel met with the media on Monday and the Vols will have running backs coach Jerry Mack and linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary on Tuesday.
Heupel spoke about a number of different topics on Monday including the team’s preparation to this point, his thoughts on Virginia’s quarterback and defense, and much more.
In addition to Heupel, Tennessee cornerback Doneiko Slaughter and linebacker Aaron Beasley also met with the media on Monday.
No. 12 Tennessee will take on Virginia in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium this Saturday in the Vols’ 2023 season opener.
