Tennessee outside linebackers/special teams coach Mike Ekeler was the final of the Tennessee assistants to speak with the media during training camp this fall on Saturday morning in Knoxville.
Ekeler, known for bringing the energy both on the field and at the podium, spoke about the mindset it takes to impact the special teams unit. Ekeler said on Saturday that the team shows highlights of former Vols such as Princeton Fant with the Cowboys or Cedric Tillman with the Browns working on special teams during the preseason.
Ekeler also spoke about Tennessee’s return man Dee Williams, the Vols’ use of freshmen at the special teams unit, the outside linebacker group, and much more.
Additionally, three of Tennessee’s specialists spoke on Saturday: punter Jackson Ross, transfer kicker Charles Campbell, and preseason All-SEC Third Team return man Dee Williams. Check out each of the interviews below.
