Tennessee sophomore wide receiver Squirrel White has a new NIL deal that will thrill residents of Knoxville and the East Tennessee area.

As announced by Weigel’s on Tuesday morning, Tennessee receiver Squirrel White is the company’s new NIL athlete. White follows in the footsteps of Evan Russell, Zakai Zeigler, Tess Darby, and Maui Ahuna as Vol NIL athletes with Weigel’s.

Each game that Squirrel White scores a Tennessee touchdown next season, My Weigel’s rewards members will receive a free six-pack of Coca-Cola product.

“All right Vol fans… we’re ready to go broke,” Weigel’s posted to social media on Tuesday. “All season long, when #10 Squirrel White scores a TD, stop by any Weigel’s the next day for a FREE six pack of any Coca Cola product! You must have a registered MyWeigel’s rewards account.”

Weigel’s did clarify on social media that the promotion is valid once per game, not per score. So if Squirrel White ends up having a Jalin Hyatt-esqe game with five touchdown catches, it will still only result in one free Coca-Cola six pack the next day.

The city of Knoxville contains 42 percent of the total operational Weigel’s gas stations at 32. All in all, there are 77 Weigel’s locations throughout the East Tennessee region.

Fortunately for Tennessee fans, or just people living close to a Weigel’s in Tennessee, Squirrel White projects to be one of Tennessee’s top and starting receivers this season. Despite his size at just 5-foot-10, White shows a nearly unnatural burst of speed with his ability to fly down the field.

In the final game of the season that saw both Squirrel White and Joe Milton as the starters, the pair connected for nine receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown. The former freshman receiver almost added another score but came up just short on the goal line following a massive deep throw from Milton.

“Squirrel is a vibrant light on and off the field,” Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle said about White earlier this month. “When he’s around the guys, everybody lights up. When he’s on the field, it’s contagious. Everybody’s willing to play hard.”

Weigel’s has a strong history of pairing up with Tennessee athletes during the new and evolving NIL (name, image, likeness) world.

The local company has worked with Tennessee baseball’s Evan Russell, Tennessee women’s basketball’s Tess Darby, Tennessee men’s basketball’s Zakai Zeigler, and Tennessee baseball’s Maui Ahuna.

So, what do you say? It looks like Weigel’s is going to be giving away a lot of Coca-Cola six packs this year. The Vols scored 38 touchdowns through the air last season, to name a number in comparison.
