We should be in for an exciting matchup on Sunday, Aug. 13, as San Francisco and Las Vegas kick off their preseason by taking on each other. The NFL preseason isn’t exactly the most exciting thing but this is certainly one of the more enticing preseason matchups, so why not make it more interesting by betting on it? This weekend’s BetMGM Bonus Code ROCKYBET allows you to do just that sweat-free by offering up to $1,000 back in bonus bets if your bet loses.
Both teams have question marks at the quarterback position with things seemingly clearer for the Raiders and Jimmy Garoppolo, who is currently operating without any restrictions.

Raiders vs. 49ers Betting Odds, Preview, and Best Bets
Josh McDaniels starts his second preseason as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders as they host the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium. The competition isn’t just between these two teams, it’s also happening within each franchise — with the Raiders roster being so deep this summer, and with so many position battles, one could argue that this will be a must-watch. The 49ers quarterbacks will also be competing with one another. The 49ers are favored by 3.5 points in this matchup against the Raiders.
Here are two of our favorite bets for today’s game.
San Francisco -3.5 (-115)
While Garoppolo entered the summer without restrictions, it is unlikely we will see him on Sunday as the Raiders look to play things cautiously. It is also unclear how much playing time Las Vegas gives to backup QB Brian Hoyer, which means we will see a lot of Aidan O’Connell and Chase Garbers. And with that being the case, San Francisco and their strong defense will have the edge. There is also a giant Josh Jacobs-sized hole in the Raiders offense. With the franchise tag pending, Jacobs is in no rush to show up to training camp, and before he does Zamir White will be leading the charge at running back.
Under 36 Points (-110)
This Raiders’ offense is going to struggle against the 49ers who are boasting the league’s top-ranked defense. As for San Francisco’s offense, it’s unlikely we see star running back Christian McCaffrey take the field, while fellow RB Elijah Mitchell might be held back as he is questionable. This leaves the run game in the hands of Jordan Mason and Tyrion Davis-Price. Despite their talents, I see this being low-scoring, as most preseason games are.
