Titans vs. Bears Preseason Preview & Best Bets
The NFL preseason is now in full swing, with the action having begun on Aug. 10. There are games throughout the weekend, including Saturday’s game that features the Chicago Bears hosting the Tennessee Titans. Both teams have plenty to iron out ahead of the regular season, making the matchup that much more interesting.
Here are a couple of wagers we like for this game.

Tennessee ended the 2022-23 season with the fifth-fewest points per game in the NFL, while Chicago had the 10th-fewest. Tennessee relies nearly entirely on the back of RB Derrick Henry plowing through defenders, but that also means there is absolutely no need for them to take any unnecessary risks and force him to take extra hits in the preseason. Similarly, the Titans are far from elite at QB, so their depth is lacking. The Bears’ big plays are nearly always performed by QB Justin Fields. As a running QB, they also aren’t going to risk any extra hits on Fields, much like the Titans and Henry. Expect a low-scoring affair.
Tennessee +3.5 (-108)
Despite the Titans’ sub-.500 record against the spread in the 2022 preseason, they are still expected to remain competitive in this matchup against the Bears. I expect the Titans’ defense to be the team’s saving grace in this game. The Titans’ defense was impressive during the 2022 preseason, allowing an average of 308.7 yards and 16.3 points per game, good for 8th in the NFL. In their three preseason matchups, Tennessee’s defense held opponents to 103 rushing yards per game and 205.7 passing yards per game while forcing four turnovers.
