Football season is right around the corner. The Vols opened fall practice Wednesday morning and open up their season in one month in Nashville.

With colleges across the country hitting the practice field, ESPN released their preseason college football hype video Tuesday. After years of being an afterthought in the college football world, Tennessee is back as one of the hot names in the sport.

ESPN’s hype video included three different shots of Tennessee, once with players slapping the “I Will Give My All For Tennessee Today!” sign, another of the goalpost coming down after the Vols knocked off Alabama and finally two clips after the Orange Bowl including a Josh Heupel quote.

Tennessee was one of just four teams (Clemson, Alabama, Georgia) in addition to USC quarterback Caleb Williams that had a specific part of the 80 second hype video dedicated to them.

Heupel’s quote, “The best for Tennessee is still yet to come” is the only quote from a coach and not an ESPN media personality.

Tennessee is coming off its best season in over two decades. The Vols posted an 11-2 (6-2 SEC) record with wins over Florida, LSU, Alabama and Clemson a season ago.

The Vols open up Heupel’s third season as head coach against Virginia on Sept. 2 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
