NFL minicamps may be over, but the best online sportsbooks are just getting started with NFL betting for 2023. The new season kicks off in just a few months when the KC Chiefs and Detroit Lions clash in Kansas City on Sept. 7.
But sports bettors can get in on the action early with all kinds of NFL bets. Larger sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel already have regular betting for nearly every game with moneylines, point spreads, and totals. But NFL futures odds are where it’s at when we’re still a few months out.
Why is this a good time to bet on futures? As training camps and then the preseason progress, the odds will likely change — a lot. Now is the time to get good odds on players and teams that you think might be undervalued before the season starts.
So, who are some of those undervalued teams and players, and what are our favorite picks for NFL Futures bets for 2023? Let’s dig into it.

NFL Futures Odds: 3 Bets We Like
All the top sportsbooks have NFL futures right now. In fact, the odds for the 2023-2024 season started popping up before the confetti was cleared off the Super Bowl field last season.
Here are our top three favorite 2023 NFL futures wagers right now.
Bengals to Win the AFC (DraftKings Odds +550)
The Chiefs are the favorites to win the AFC, and yes, now is a good time to put money down on them. But we also like the money on the Bengals to win the AFC this season. Sure, they’ll have to win against arguably the best two teams in the league (if you leave out the Eagles?).
But they showed they can do it last season when they beat the Chiefs in the regular season and the Bills in the postseason. Their QB Joe Burrow is the favorite on several sportsbooks to win the regular season MVP, too.

Jalen Hurts to Win AP Regular Season MVP (BetMGM Odds: +1000)
We like this bet because the odds for Hurts will likely get shorter as the season approaches. They’re nice and long right now, promising a good return if he can win the AP MVP. Last season, Hurts actually overtook Mahomes for this award until he had his unfortunate injury.
We think the Eagles are going to come out swinging this season. The NFC isn’t nearly as stacked as the AFC, which could also help Hurts push up that win total, which is a great advantage.
If you don’t like money on Hurts, here are the other top players likely to win the AP MVP.

Tennessee Titans to Make the Playoffs (FanDuel Odds: Yes +245 | No -320)
Sure, the Titans had their first losing season in 2022 with a 7-10 record and missed the playoffs after a golden three consecutive years of playoff appearances.
So, does betting on the team to make the playoffs this year sound crazy? Not really! Last season was the first time the Titans had a losing record under head coach Mike Vrabel, who is 48-34.
In the coming season, the team is making a lot of changes to its roster and approach, and it could definitely have a shot. They cut some expensive veterans from the roster, and they’ve still got Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Jeffery Simmons, and Kevin Byard. They also played the Draft well and got OL Peter Skoronski and QB Will Levis.
Of course, they are in the AFC, which is scarily stacked this season, but the AFC South is weak, with two teams in rebuilding years. It’s not impossible to think that the Titans could get the jump on the Jacksonville Jaguars and win their division.
