2023 NBA Draft Preview and Best Bets
The San Antonio Spurs drew the most coveted pick on lottery night, and they haven’t bothered to hide who they’re after. He still must prove himself, but at least on paper, the Spurs will take who they are hoping to be Tim Duncan’s replacement in the 7-foot-2 French phenom Victor Wembanyama.
After Wembanyama is off the board, the order of the rest of the field is still a debate among most fans and analysts. After the Spurs, the following picks will primarily impact betting lines: (2) Charlotte Hornets, (3) Portland Trail Blazers, (4), Houston Rockets, (5) Detroit Pistons.
Charlotte Hornets

If the goal is to keep Lillard, then Henderson (-280 to be selected third) doesn’t make the most sense with the selection, and there is a good chance he is still there and the best on the board.
