Eight baseball teams from around the country will travel to Omaha, Nebraska this week for the 2023 NCAA College World Series event. And after winning a long and delayed series in the Hattiesburg Super Regional over the weekend, the Tennessee Volunteers and head coach Tony Vitello will be one of those teams.

This will be Tennessee’s sixth trip to the College World Series and second in the past three years as the Vols look for their first CWS Championship.

Bracket 1 for the tournament will include (2) Florida, (7) Virginia, TCU, and Oral Roberts. Bracket 2, meanwhile, will include (1) Wake Forest, (5) LSU, (8) Stanford, and Tennessee.

Each bracket will be played in a format that is identical to the Regional Round, where teams would rotate playing until elimination by two losses. The winners of each bracket will meet in the CWS Championship in a best-of-three series.
