The Kansas City Chiefs are honoring former Vol Eric Berry in several ways on Sunday. Berry was placed on the non-football illness list last week after a mass was found in his chest which could be possible lymphoma. Kansas City will wear red-on-red uniforms, Berry’s favorite combination, Sunday night against the Broncos.
Several Chiefs players, including safety Kurt Coleman, quarterback Alex Smith and linebacker Justin Houston, designed a T-shirt honoring Berry. The Chiefs wore the special “Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Berry” shirts during warmups – several players are also wearing them under their uniforms.

Those shirts will eventually be available to the public and proceeds will go Eric Berry’s foundation, which will donate them to a research institute after Berry is officially diagnosed. Kansas City coaches will wear a special “29” decal on their attire during the game.
The Tennessee Volunteers honored Berry with “29” decals on their helmets during their Saturday matchup with Vanderbilt. Berry is back home in Georgia with his family awaiting an official diagnosis.
