Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media on Thursday morning after the Vols wrapped up their second scrimmage of the spring practice slate.
The Vols wrapped up spring practice No. 9 on Wednesday morning on campus before rolling the whole operation over to Neyland Stadium. While speaking with the media, Heupel explained how much more beneficial it can be to see the guys out on the game field in a scrimmage scenario instead of just normal procedures on the more limited practice field.
Heupel also spoke about players he was impressed with, the top position group of the day, and some of his offensive philosophies from the quarterback perspective.
Tennessee will be off the rest of the week before starting their fourth and final week of spring camp. The Vols will build up to the Orange & White game, which will take place in Neyland Stadium on Saturday, April 15, at 2:30 p.m. ET.
