Tennessee finds itself back in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019 after knocking off five-seed Duke in the Round of 32. Senior forward Olivier Nkamhoua scored 23 of his game high 27 points in the second half and Santiago Vescovi threw in four triples to earn a 63-52 win.

No. 9 seed Florida Atlantic is in the Sweet 16 after knocking off Memphis and Fairleigh Dickinson in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The Conference USA Champions have only three losses on the season and defeated Florida in November.

Tennessee is one win away from advancing to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history and two wins away from the program’s first Final Four. If the Vols get past Florida Atlantic Thursday they’ll face either three-seed Kansas State or seven-seed Michigan State in the Elite Eight.

The Vols are making their second trip to the Big Apple this season. Tennessee knocked off Maryland 56-53 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in December.

  1. Tennessee seems to be playing better in last 2 weeks. Need to carry this momentum into next 2 weeks if possible.
