Lincoln Memorial transfer wing Elyjah Freeman is visiting Tennessee basketball on Wednesday, On3’s Joe Tipton first reported on Tuesday and a source confirmed to RTI. Freeman visited Indiana a few weeks back and visited Auburn last weekend before his upcoming trip to Knoxville.
Freeman is in the transfer portal after one season at Division II Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate, Tennessee. The wing was dominant in his lone season at the Division II level, averaging 19.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
A 6-foot-8 forward, Freeman shot an incredibly impressive 46% from three-point range in his freshman season but it was on a relatively small sample size. The forward made 25-of-54 attempts from three-point range.
Freeman ranks as a four-star transfer and the No. 122 player in the portal according to 247sports while On3 ranks him as a four-star transfer and the No. 76 player in the portal.

Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes visited with Freeman late this past week in Harrogate before the transfer forward took a visit to Auburn this weekend.
The Vols front court is set with Felix Okpara, JP Estrella and Cade Phillips returning and the addition of prep forward DeWayne Brown and Vanderbilt power forward transfer Jaylen Carey. But Freeman still feels a need that Tennessee has on its roster.
Tennessee is looking for a wing player who can also slide to power forward as a stretch four-man in certain lineups. Freeman fits that bill, playing naturally on the perimeter but having the size to hold up as a power forward for stretches of time. Five-star prep prospect Nate Ament is another Tennessee target at the spot as the Vols battle Duke and Louisville there.
The Vols have added two transfers to their roster this offseason in Maryland point guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie and Carey. Barnes and his staff now have four scholarships to work with as they fill out their roster for the 2025-26 season. Tennessee hosted highly touted Maryland transfer Rodney Rice on a visit last weekend and will host Kansas guard Rakease Passmore on Friday.
