Final Four preview and DraftKings odds
There wasn’t much Madness in this year’s NCAA men’s brackets, as all four No. 1 seeds made it to the national semifinals for only the second time in Big Dance history.
Here’s what’s on the docket for Saturday in San Antonio, including the current point spreads, moneylines and game totals from DraftKings:
Two Southeastern Conference rivals tip off play Saturday with No. 1 Florida taking on No. 1 Auburn in San Antonio.
Both of these squads blitzed through their competition in the earlier rounds of the tourney and are now poised to see who will represent the SEC in Monday’s national title game.
These familiar foes have met 174 times since 1927, so they’re no strangers.
The Tigers hold a 90-84 lead in the all-time series, but lost their recent matchup 90-81 at home to the Gators on Feb. 8.
Florida has been buoyed by extremely productive second-half play in the Big Dance, having come from behind to win games against UConn and Maryland. The Gators have only lost once since Feb. 1, and their run of strong play has them well-positioned for a third national title.
Auburn will continue to lean heavily on star forward Johni Broome, but will need to get more from distance to hang with Florida. The Tigers have shot 31 percent from 3-point range through four tourney wins — a number that will need to improve Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Duke Blue Devils are appearing in their 18th Final Four and are favored to win the program’s sixth national championship. In their path are the Houston Cougars, another program with a strong Final Four history but one that has yet to win it all.
Duke has two of the nation’s top players in freshmen Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel, and both will command attention from Houston’s top-ranked defense. That could open up opportunities for guard Tyrese Proctor, who has been in dynamite form of late.
Along with its welcome bonus that can earn new users up to $1,200, DraftKings has an array of ongoing promotions for all customers:
