Jahmai Mashack’s buzzer-beating three-pointer on Saturday evening gave No. 5 Tennessee an incredible win over No. 6 Alabama in a game that Vol fans won’t soon be forgetting – if ever.
“I hope this game sticks in Tennessee basketball history,” Mashack said after the game. “I hope this stays in fan’s hearts.”
Tennessee trailed Alabama by four points but ended up scoring 41 in the final 20 minutes compared to Alabama’s 34 to pick up its fourth straight win over the Crimson Tide.
Vols guards Chaz Lanier and Jordan Gainey led Tennessee with 18 points while Mashack’s game-winning three put him at 11 points for the game.
