Tennessee is the fourth highest-ranked team from the SEC behind No. 1 Texas, No. 6 South Carolina, and No. 7 LSU. The Lady Vols sit above No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 15 Kentucky, and No. 20 Alabama in Monday’s rankings.
The Lady Vols are 21-6 on the season and have won six of their last seven games including an ongoing four-game win streak. Tennessee has ranked wins over No. 18 Alabama, No. 5 UConn, and No. 17 Iowa but doesn’t necessarily have any bad losses, either. Tennessee has lost six games by no more than seven points, falling to No. 9 Oklahoma by one, No. 6 LSU by two, Vanderbilt by one, No. 7 Texas by four, No. 2 South Carolina by seven, and No. 6 LSU by five.
The No. 11 Lady Vols will take on No. 15 Kentucky on Thursday in Lexington before returning home to face Georgia in the regular-season finale from Knoxville on Sunday afternoon.
Tennessee guard Talaysia Cooper leads the team in scoring with 17 points per game while Zee Spearman is hauling in a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game. Samara Spencer has a team-high 5.0 assists per game average through 27 contests this season.
