Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler and Jahmai Mashack earned their 100th career win on Saturday afternoon with a comeback victory over in-state rival Vanderbilt in Knoxville.

Both senior guards are in their fourth season with the program after entering the season with 79 career wins.

Zeigler and Mashack became the 7th and 8th players in Tennessee history to reach the 100 career wins mark:

  • John Fulkerson – 135 wins
  • Cameron Tatum – 118 wins
  • Josiah-Jordan James – 114 wins
  • Santiago Vescovi – 106 wins
  • Quinn Cannington – 104 wins
  • Wayne Chism – 104 wins
  • Zakai Zeigler – 100 wins
  • Jahmai Mashack – 100 wins

Zeigler and Mashack have every chance to continue climbing the list by the end of the season, too.

The duo needs seven more wins on the season to pass Chism, Cannington, and Vescovi. Tennessee has five more games left in the regular season, plus the SEC tournament, plus the NCAA tournament.

Though it is a fairly unreliable metric, ESPN’s Basketball Power Index has Tennessee “projected” to win four out of its last five games. That would require Tennessee to win at least three games in both tournaments for them to move up past those three former Vols.

Let’s play hypothetical for a minute. Let’s say that Tennessee runs the table in the regular season, runs the table as a 5-8 seed in the SEC Tournament, and then runs the table in the NCAA Tournament to the NCAA Championship. That would result in 15 wins, slotting Zeigler and Mashack one spot above James in terms of all-time wins.

  • 2022-2023: 25
  • 2023-2024: 27
  • 2024-2025: 21 and counting
