Make it back-to-back games with grand slams for the defending champions.
Tennessee’s first bases-clearing home run of the season came in Game 2 of the Hofstra series on Saturday afternoon as Hunter Ensley tallied up four runs with one swing in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Ensley’s shot gave Tennessee the 13-1 lead through five innings as the Vols would eventually go on to run-rule the Pride by a score of 18-1 in seven innings.
The grand slam ball went 392 yards with a 106 MPH exit velocity.

While one is good, two is even better.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning in the Sunday finale, Reese Chapman sent a long ball into the left field porches for the Vols’ second grand slam of the season and the series.
The grand slam put Tennessee up 11-1 in just the second frame.
Chapman’s ball went 341 yards with a 104 MPH exit velocity.

Tennessee led the SEC with 184 home runs last season and brought back the long ball for the start of their championship defense in 2025.
The Vols launched three home runs (Dean Curley 1, Hunter High 1, Andrew Fischer 1) in the opener on Friday, three home runs in Saturday’s win (Blake Grimmer 1, Hunter Ensley 1, Levi Clark 1), and hit one (Reese Chapman 1) on Sunday.
Tennessee earned run-rule victories in all three games of the sweep. The Vols defeated Hofstra 15-0 in 7 innings on Friday, 18-1 in 7 innings on Saturday, and won by a score of 13-1 in 7 innings during the Sunday series finale.
