According to a report from On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett over the weekend, class of 2027 five-star wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster is reclassifying to the 2026 class.
Fawcett’s report also states that Feaster has trimmed his list to a final 12 with Tennessee making the cut alongside Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, LSU, Oregon, Southern Cal, Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-1, 181-pound receiver hails from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, TX, where he has been named a MaxPreps Freshman and Sophomore All-American selection in 2023 and 2024. Feaster racked up more than 600 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during his freshman season on DeSoto’s undefeated Texas 6A DII State championship squad.

More from RTI: Tennessee Battling Three National Champions For Five-Star Running Back
According to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Feaster ranks as a five-star player, the No. 23 prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 4 wide receiver, and the No. 3 player from the state of Texas.
Tennessee has had its eyes on Feaster for a while now. Despite being projected for the 2027 class all this time, Tennessee actually offered Feaster a scholarship back in May 2023 before his freshman season.
With the secret being out for quite some time now, Tennessee isn’t the only one with its eyes on the Texas product. While Feaster did cut his list down to 12 teams this weekend, the now-2026 prospect has racked up 49 scholarship offers in a very high-profile recruitment.
Tennessee is swinging for the fences with its 2026 class and Feaster could be a key piece in it. Vols head coach Josh Heupel already has a commitment from Faizon Brandon, the No. 1 quarterback in the class, and Tennessee also recently made the final four for the No. 1 running back in the class with Savion Hiter. Tennessee still needs to close Hiter and Feaster’s recruitments, but the Vols do look to be aiming for the trifecta of Brandon, Hiter, and Feaster as a powerhouse offensive recruiting unit.
Led by Faizon Brandon’s commitment, Tennessee currently has the No. 7 2026 recruiting class according to 247’s team rankings. The Vols have one five-star commit and six three-star commits with five out of the seven players in total being on the offensive side of the ball. Tennessee’s second highest-rated commit in the class is wide receiver Tyreek King from Knoxville Catholic.
