Below we take a closer gander at each of the top five Super Bowl LX favorites …
Super Bowl LX odds: Philadelphia Eagles (best: +650 at BetMGM)
With QB Jalen Hurts and league rushing leader Saquon Barkley in their primes and young talent at all three defensive levels, Philly appears to be a set as perennial contender over the next few seasons.
The Eagles have made to the playoffs in seven of the last eight seasons, with three Super Bowl appearances and a pair of wins during that span.
Super Bowl LX odds: Kansas City Chiefs (+750 at BetMGM)
There was no three-peat for QB Patrick Mahomes and Co., who were dominated by the Eagles in all facets of Super Bowl LIX.
Still this is a franchise which has won nine straight division titles and has played in five of the last six Super Bowls, winning three — all with Mahomes yet to turn 30.
There are, however, questions about the offensive line and the staying power of some key components, most notably tight end Travis Kelce, who turns 36 this coming fall.
Super Bowl LX odds: Baltimore Ravens (+700 at DraftKings)
Dynamic QB Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have made the playoffs in five of the last six seasons but have only advanced as far as the AFC Championship Game once during that span.
Can Jackson and Co., find a way to translate their regular season greatness to the postseason?
Super Bowl LX odds: Buffalo Bills (+750 at FanDuel)
Another top-tier QB and AFC contender are in the exact same bridesmaid boat.
2024 NFL MVP Josh Allen and the Bills have won five consecutive AFC East crowns and have been to the playoffs in each of the last six seasons.
But Buffalo has been bounced from tournament by Kansas City in four of those seasons and still hasn’t made it back to the Super Bowl since losing four straight from 1990-93.
Super Bowl LX odds: Detroit Lions (+1100 at Caesars)
The Lions, meanwhile, are seeking their first Big Game berth as one of four current teams never to have appeared on the Super stage.
Coach Dan Campbell’s team has been in prime position in each of the last two years. But the 15-2, NFC top-seeded Lions of this past season were unceremoniously ousted at home in the divisional round.
Detroit is certainly due some better health fortune after an injury-wracked 2024 campaign, but the team has to replace its offensive and defensive coordinators after Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn accepted head coaching gigs elsewhere.
