Tennessee point guard Zakai Zeigler is out with a knee injury for the Vols’ Saturday afternoon matchup against Florida according to a Tennessee spokesperson. Forward Igor Milicic, who was probable with an illness on Friday’s report, is available and will play against the Gators.
Zeigler suffered the knee injury in the first half of Tennessee’s loss against Kentucky, driving hard to the basket and falling to the ground while drawing contact and a foul late. He quickly popped up and speedily limped straight past the Tennessee bench and all the way up the tunnel towards the Vols’ locker room.
Zeigler is Tennessee’s most important player and is averaging 12.3 points, 7.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 34 minutes a game so far this season.

Milicic missed Tennessee’s Friday practice with an illness but the Vols still listed him as probable on their initial injury report. The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 10.4 points and a team-best 8.1 rebounds to go with 2.1 assists per game this season.
The Vols are 4.5-point favorites over Florida according to the FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 140.5. Florida routed Tennessee 73-43 in the two teams first meeting earlier this month.
Tennessee enters the matchup desperate for a victory after dropping its last two games against Kentucky and Auburn. The Vols have lost three of their last four games dating back to their loss at Vanderbilt two weeks ago.
Tipoff between Tennessee and Florida is at noon ET on Saturday. Tom Hart and Dan Bradshaw are on the call for ESPN.
