Tennessee received a prediction to land class of 2026 wide receiver Joel Wyatt on Monday after his visit to Knoxville for Junior Day last weekend.
The prediction came from On3 Sports’ VP of Recruiting, Steve Wiltfong, who logged a 60% confidence-level prediction for Tennessee to keep Wyatt in the Volunteer State.
Wyatt made three unofficial visits to Knoxville last fall, appearing at the Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky games. He then made his way to Knoxville for the Vols’ Junior Day recruiting event last weekend with a slew of other high-level prospects.
The 6-foot-4, 192-pound prospect is a talented wide receiver and outside linebacker for The Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN.
247 Sports’ Composite Rankings have Wyatt listed as a four-star prospect, the No. 99 overall player in the class, the No. 15 receiver in the class, and the No. 3 player from the state of Tennessee. On3 Sports’ individual rankings have Wyatt as a Top 40 overall player and the third-ranked receiver in the class.
Wyatt has more than 20 scholarship offers including strong programs such as Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Indiana, Miami, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M.
The obvious metric that stands out is Wyatt’s size. Wyatt’s 6-foot-4 frame is a massive weapon for a team to take advantage of on the outside.

Tennessee signed a trio of receivers in the 2025 recruiting cycle with four-star Travis Smith Jr., four-star Radarious Jackson, and three-star Joakim Dodson. The Vols also signed former Alabama wide receiver Amari Jefferson out of the portal this offseason.
Tennessee has two receiver commits in the 2026 class with Knoxville Catholic receiver Tyreek King and three-star receiver Tyran Evans. Josh Heupel and his staff are adding some serious size in these classes, too. Joel Wyatt would fit right in with that category.
The Vols’ 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation according to 247’s team rankings. If Wyatt were to commit to Tennessee as things stand now, he would be the Vols’ second highest-rated commitment behind only five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon.
