Kentucky starting forward Andrew Carr is available for Tuesday night’s marquee matchup against Tennessee according to the SEC game day availability report.

The Wildcats listed Carr as questionable on their Monday night injury report after he missed Kentucky’s loss at Vanderbilt with a back injury.

The super senior Wake Forest transfer is averaging 10.9 points per game on 54% shooting from the field and 28% shooting from three-point range. The 6-foot-10 forward has started 18 games for the Wildcats this season and is averaging 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Having Carr available is a huge win for Kentucky especially due to other injury concerns. Star point guard Lamont Butler is out for the rivalry matchup due to injury.

Butler is one of Kentucky’s top players as well as its starting point guard. The San Diego State transfer is averaging 13.2 points and 4.8 assists in 26.7 minutes per game. His absence is particularly notable because Kentucky’s other point guard Kerr Kriisa has been sidelined with an injury since early December.

Tennessee is 9.5-point favorites against Kentucky according to the FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 148.5. KenPom predicts Tennessee to earn a 77-68 win.

Both teams are in need of a victory on Tuesday night. Tennessee is looking to bounce back from its heartbreaking loss at No. 1 Auburn on Saturday night while Kentucky has lost two straight games, first at home versus Alabama and then at Vanderbilt.

Tipoff between Tennessee and Kentucky is at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. Karl Ravech, Jimmy Dykes and Molly McGrath are on the call for ESPN.
