The Tennessee Titans are in a time of transition, making changes to their front office structure are a 3-14 season that landed them the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
A week after hiring Mike Borgonzi as the franchise’s new general manager, the Titans announced a new front office hiring on Sunday and it’s one with a connection to the University of Tennessee. The Tennessee Titans are hiring former UT player and longtime NFL executive Reggie McKenzie to a role in its front office.

The Los Angeles Raiders selected McKenzie in the 10th round of the 1985 NFL Draft and he went on to play seven seasons in the NFL with the Raiders, Phoenix Cardinals and San Fransisco 49ers.
After his playing days ended, McKenzie quickly got into NFL front office work. He started his career as the Green Bay Packers pro personnel assistant and then spent 11 years as the Packer pro personnel director.
Following his decade-plus run with the Packers, McKenzie spent seven years as the Oakland Raiders’ general manager. After the Raiders fired him, he went on to spent six seasons as a senior personnel director for the Miami Dolphins.
Reggie McKenzie’s son Kahlil McKenzie was a five-star recruit and played defensive tackle at Tennessee from 2015-17.
The big question for Borgonzi, McKenzie and the rest of the Tennessee organization is what to do with the first overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
