Auburn star Johni Broome is active against Tennessee on Saturday night.
The senior forward injured his ankle against South Carolina on Jan. 11 and hasn’t seen the court in the Tigers’ two games since. Broome was originally listed as questionable on the Friday night injury report before being moved to a game-time decision on Saturday.
Broome went through warm-ups with his teammates and looks good to go for the game against Tennessee.
The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 17.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game this year in 16 contests. Broome has firmly established himself as a contender for the national player of the year award and is the clear leader of Auburn’s veteran-heavy roster.
Auburn went 2-0 in games that Broome missed with his ankle injury, destorying Mississippi State by 22 points at home before narrowly surviving Georgia in Athens last weekend. The Tigers had a midweek bye leading into the Tennessee game in Auburn on Saturday night.

Tennessee also received good news on Saturday night, though. After both being on the Friday night injury report, Tennessee guard Jordan Gainey and forward Igor Milicic Jr. both look good to go. Gainey was dealing with flu-like symptoms while Milicic was bothered by a lower-body injury.
It appears as though all three players will be good to go on Saturday night in Auburn, AL.
