Tennessee bolstered its 2026 recruiting class with a commitment from in-state offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda on Saturday afternoon.

Osenda chose Tennessee over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Minnesota by putting on the orange ballcap during Saturday’s Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Originally from Canada, Osenda plays his high school ball at Baylor School in Chattanooga. The 6-foot-7, 330-pound prospect lands as a three-star recruit, a Top 400 prospect, and the No. 32 offensive tackle in the class according to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. Osenda also comes in as the tenth-ranked player in the state of Tennessee.

Osenda played his 2023 season at Clearwater Academy International before moving to Baylor School and played the left tackle position during both seasons.

Osenda is Tennessee’s second Baylor School connection this week. Former Baylor School wide receiver Amari Jefferson transferred from Alabama to Tennessee last Sunday after just one year in Tuscaloosa.

The class of 2026 prospect saw Tennessee on a handful of occasions during the 2024 season. 247’s timeline shows unofficial visits to Rocky Top for the Florida and Alabama games in October, the Kentucky game in November, and even saw the Vols during an unofficial visit to Georgia in late November. The Bulldogs extended Osenda an offer on that day.

With his commitment on Saturday afternoon, Osenda lands as the eighth commitment in Tennessee’s 2026 signing class. Osenda is the second offensive lineman that Tennessee has landed alongside three-star interior offensive lineman Brandon Anderson from Kennesaw, GA.

247 Sports’ team rankings have Tennessee with the fifth-ranked class in the 2026 standings. Five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon headlines the Vols’ class which also includes solid prospects such as wide receiver Tyreek King and tight end Carson Sneed.

Osenda’s commitment to Tennessee on Saturday is the latest leg of a great run for Josh Heupel and his staff. Tennessee landed three-star WR Joakim Dodson (Baylor School) from Chattanooga in the 2025 class while current starting safety Boo Carter is also from the Chattanooga area.
