Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and senior guard Jahmai Mashack met with the media in Knoxville on Friday morning ahead of the Vols’ SEC opener against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in the Food City Center.
The No. 1-ranked Vols will host the new-look Arkansas Razorbacks as head coach John Calipari and former Vol Jonas Aidoo make their returns to Rocky Top.
The Razorbacks are ranked at No. 23 in the latest AP Poll, setting up a Top 25 showdown to kick off the Vols’ 2025 slate.
Barnes and Mashack both spoke about their perspectives of having a former player/teammate return to town as well as the grind that the SEC schedule will present this winter.
No. 1 Tennessee will host No. 23 Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday in Knoxville.
