The College Football Playoffs are in the quarterfinals, and the three games are set to be a very good way to kick off the new year.
Of the three, only Texas vs Arizona State has a double-digit spread. But don’t count out the Sun Devils. They’ve been discounted since early in the season, and here they are. Yes, the task in front of them is difficult in the Longhorns, but Arizona State has proven repeatedly it can rise to the occasion. There’s no doubt Texas is the favorite and should win today, but the Sun Devils could keep it close.

The Ducks defense struggles against the run, so look for the Buckeyes to go heavy on the run. If Ohio State is able to get consistent yardage in the rushing attack, that’ll open up the passing game. As for Oregon, it’s the clear No. 1 in the country and the only unbeaten team in the country. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel leads a high-powered offense that will be a challenge for the Buckeyes defense.
