Highly touted left-handed pitcher Kruz Schoolcraft committed to Tony Vitello and Tennessee baseball on Friday afternoon ahead of his senior prep season.
“A special thank you to Coach Vitello and the entire Tennessee staff for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity,” Schoolcraft wrote in a statement. “To my teammates, past and present, thank you for pushing me every day. The friendships and lessons I’ve gained along the way have shaped me into the player and person I am.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to represent the University of Tennessee. Go Vols!”
A 6-foot-8, 230-pound prospect ranks as the No. 10 prep prospect in the country and the No. 1 left-handed pitcher in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to Perfect Game. Getting Schoolcraft to school will be a major challenge as MLB.com projects the tall left handed to be the No. 9 selection in the 2025 MLB Draft.
