Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and Ohio State head coach Ryan Day both opened the week with extended press conferences on Monday.
The Vols and the Buckeyes will square off this Saturday night in a highly-anticipated first-round College Football Playoffs matchup from Ohio State’s Ohio Stadium.
While the winner will move on to the quarterfinals to take on No. 1 Oregon in the Rose Bowl, both head coaches are squarely focused on Saturday’s primetime do-or-die game.
Heupel spoke to the media in Knoxville for just under 18 minutes on Monday while Day’s press conference in Columbus went for just over 25 minutes in total.
Both head coaches detailed storylines around their team and spoke about their opponent for this weekend’s game.
