The fall transfer portal window for college football is officially open and is expected to create more madness off the field than the College Football Playoff will create on the field in the next month.
For FBS football, the transfer portal opens on Monday, Dec. 9 and remains open for just under three weeks until Saturday, Dec. 28. Players on teams that are in the playoffs will have five days until their teams season is over to officially enter the transfer.
So if Tennessee gets past Ohio State before losing to Oregon in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, Tennessee players will have until Jan. 6 to enter the transfer portal.
Despite this, a number of Tennessee players have already announced their intentions to enter the transfer portal last week before the portal officially opened. Five Vols are already in the portal and more could jump in both before and after Tennessee’s season comes to an end.
We’ll be tracking all of the names from the 2024 Tennessee football team that enter the transfer portal throughout the process. Check back frequently for new updates to follow which players are officially heading into the portal and won’t return to Tennessee next season.
