Tennessee football is getting in on the early signing day craziness, flipping four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte from Southern Cal on Wednesday.

The Vols have been working to flip the Peach State linebacker for months even going back to the summer when Perlotte was committed to Georgia. Tennessee was optimistic that it would successfully flip Perlotte from the Bulldogs in the summer following his official visit to Tennessee but the blue-chip linebacker instead flipped to USC.

But just over four months later, Tennessee ended up landing Perlotte on signing day despite USC working hard to hold on to its second highest rated linebacker commit.

Perlotte is the Vols’ second flip of signing day joining three-star defensive back Timothy Merritt who flipped from Miami to Tennessee earlier in the day.

The blue-chip linebacker has helped lead Buford to a 12-1 record this season who is still alive in the 6A Georgia State Playoffs.

With Perlotte in the fold, Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class now contains four linebackers commits plus signees including four-stars Jaedon Harmon and Christian Gass as well as three-star Brenden Anes.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class now contains 26 commits plus signees and ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 7 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
