No. 3 Tennessee dominated its SEC-ACC Challenge opponent on Tuesday night with a massive 96-70 victory over Syracuse in Knoxville.
The Vols closed in on a 100-point scoring night thanks to five Tennessee players ending in double digits, led by guard Chaz Lanier with a game-high 26 points. Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler, Igor Milicic Jr., Cade Phillips, and Jordan Gainey also hit the double-digit scoring mark on Tuesday night.
Milicic finished the game with Tennessee’s only double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Orange.
Tennessee’s defense also gave Syracuse’s offense trouble throughout the night, holding the Orange to 35 points in each half. Tennessee forced 11 turnovers on defense and scored 19 points on those 11 takeaways.
