No. 3 Tennessee moved to 8-0 on the season with a 96-70 win over Syracuse in the SEC-ACC Challenge on Tuesday night in Knoxville.

The Vols, wearing their debut Dark Mode all-black uniforms, dominated the Orange behind 26 points from Chaz Lanier and a double-double from Igor Milicic Jr.

Tennessee had five players in double-digit scoring while the Vols’ defense presented trouble for the Syracuse offense. The Vols forced 11 turnovers out of the Orange and scored 19 points off of them.

After the game, RTI’s Ryan Schumpert and Ric Butler broke down the contest for about 10 minutes on the court. The guys talk about Cade Phillips’ impressive showing through eight games, how the Vols got it done despite some bad shooting stretches, Milicic’s key role for Tennessee, and initial impressions of Tennessee’s team as a whole through the first eight games of the season.
