Texas A&M fans used a little bit of Tennessee history to troll Texas during ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast on Saturday morning in College Station, TX.
As a marriage proposal was happening live on the show, the camera panned around to reveal a sign in the crowd saying, “The real UT is in KNOXVILLE.”
That’s a fact, according to the SEC.
In the SEC’s preseason All-SEC teams publication, conference officials designated Tennessee as “UT” while Texas got “Tex” as its abbreviation.
The marriage proposal was great and all buuuuut the sign!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Whoever that is, you are the MVP of the day! pic.twitter.com/0D9Oi6PTWU

More from RTI: Tennessee Football at Vanderbilt: Official Injury Report
No. 20 Texas A&M will host No. 3 Texas in a massive rivalry game from Kyle Field on Saturday night on ABC.
Tennessee, on the other hand, has its own consequential rivalry game to focus on Saturday.
In-state rival Vanderbilt will host No. 8 Tennessee at Noon ET on Saturday. If Tennessee wins over Vanderbilt, the Vols will punch their ticket to the College Football Playoffs. If Tennessee loses, however, it would be detrimental to the Vols’ playoff resume heading into the postseason.
Win and you’re in, Tennessee.
While the “real UT” might be in Knoxville, the Volunteers are in Nashville on Saturday for a high-stakes SEC matchup.
