Tennessee moved to 7-0 on the season with a 78-35 win over UT Martin on Wednesday afternoon in Knoxville.
Tennessee guard Chaz Lanier continued his scoring hot streak with an 18-point game while U.T. center Felix Okpara recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Additionally, two Vols nearly had double-doubles on the day as Zakai Zeigler finished with 11 points and nine rebounds while Igor Milicic Jr. finished with nine points and 13 rebounds.
Wednesday’s win also presented the home debut for Tennessee transfer wing Darlinstone “DStone” Dubar, who finished the game with seven points and three rebounds in rotational minutes.
Tennessee was carried by its defense as it completely shut down the Skyhawks’ offense to the tune of just 15 points in the second half.
After the game, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media to discuss his thoughts on the Vols’ 43-point win. Tennessee wing Darlinstone Dubar and forward Igor Milicic Jr. also met with the media after the game.
