Tennessee running backs coach De’Rail Sims and defensive backs coach Willie Martinez kicked off the media slate in Knoxville on Tuesday morning in Knoxville with some quick questions from the media.
The Vols are coming off of a 56-0 win over UTEP as they now prepare to hit the road for an in-state rivalry contest against Vanderbilt to close down the regular season.
Sims lead off the pair of assistant coaches as he spoke about Dylan Sampson’s production this season, what Peyton Lewis has been able to give the Vols, and much more. Martinez followed Sims and spoke about the challenge of facing Vanderbilt’s mobile quarterback this weekend and what has impressed him from the play of Boo Carter in recent weeks.
Tennessee also had a pair of players speak with the media on Tuesday with defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins and safety Andre Turrentine.
